Description
This wine was born from the idea of celebrating the twentieth harvest since I started being a winemaker. With the blend of the three most symbolic grapes grown on the estate (sangiovese,canaiolo e malvasia nera), the intention is to offer a wine that can recall how wine used to be made in the past, mixing all the available grapes to create a wine suitable for everyday enjoyment, with remarkable drinkability and a freshness that always takes center stage in the glass.
The many harvests are so many enchantments, with different choices and new beginnings; every wine and every harvest has its own story to tell…
Grapes: selection of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Malvasia Nera
Exposition: South – East
Soil: clayey with a medium texture
Vine training system: Tuscan arch and spurred cordon.
Average yield per ha: 55-60 ql
Harvest: by hand in crates between the last week of September and the first of October.
Maturazione: fermentazione con lieviti indigeni sulle vinacce in vasca di cemento per circa 40 giorni.
Aging: 1 year in barrel
Note: colore rosso rubino con sentori di spezie e tannino avvolgente, complesso ma elegante con un finale persistente.
Abbinamenti: Formaggi di media/lunga stagionatura, carni rosse, piatti in umido e pasta.
